The Oakland Zoo is caring for and treating a feminine tiger cub rescued by the California Division of Fish and Wildlife. The cub was rescued from a personal facility the place she had sustained a number of bone fractures as a result of malnutrition. As a result of the bone fractures hadn’t been handled correctly on the facility, some had healed at irregular angles.
Now within the zoo’s care, the cub was examined and given dietary dietary supplements and ache medicine. As soon as her bones construct up sufficient calcium, zoo veterinarians and surgeons will decide the following stage of therapy in her therapeutic journey.
“Seeing this younger tiger enduring such apparent struggling is extraordinarily tough…no animal ought to expertise life on this means. We’re grateful to serve in a job that provides her hope for brighter days forward”, says Nik Dehejia, CEO of Oakland Zoo.
