Hen Information from Nial Moores with Baek Seung-Kwang
A complete of 66 species had been logged throughout 2.5 days of survey work, with apparent indicators of northward migration despite snowfall and beneath common temperatures firstly of the month.

Highlights included flocks of geese in “new” areas, together with a small enhance within the internationally essential variety of Jap Taiga Beans (397+), lots of of Tundra Beans heading north, and a scruffy-looking Second calendar-year Lesser White-fronted Goose foraging in fields at Baekhak; now 19 Scaly-sided Merganser (with the sharply larger peak anticipated mid-month); a single Hooded Crane (a remarkably scarce species within the county) combined in with flocks of White-naped and already decreased numbers of Pink-crowned Cranes; virtually a thousand Baikal Teal, with many males giving courtship “whoops”; an early Noticed Redshank; flocks of Rook spiraling northward; and a large scattering of leucopsis White Wagtails, with spring arrivals supplementing the very low numbers which over-winter, largely additional south on the Peninsula.
As well as, Hill Pigeon (and now 2-3 hybrids) had been seen in two places; and each an over-wintering Upland Buzzard and an apparently long-staying Water Pipit remained. Nonetheless, most winter landbird species which peak in early spring remained terribly low in quantity, with e.g., lower than 50 Rustic Bunting, two Siberian Accentor and 0 Lengthy-tailed Rosefinch famous.
