Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago welcomed a 7-year-old purple panda named Qi. He was beforehand at New York’s Prospect Park Zoo and was advisable as a mate for Nisha, one other purple panda at Lincoln Park Zoo.
“Crimson pandas are an endangered species, so the potential for cubs from Nisha and Qi is especially thrilling,” mentioned Curator Cassy Kutilek.
“Within the meantime, it’s been enjoyable for employees to get to know Qi’s character, and we’re glad to share that he’s already settling in and exploring his new habitat.”
