Other than a last gig in Lowestoft in April (to which I am already dedicated) I’ve determined to retire from my band Synergy and cling up my guitars, sun shades and fedora for good. The explanations for this choice are partly outdated age, partly private variations, however mainly the truth that pubs and different venues would relatively pay peanuts to e-book karaoke or solo singers with backing tracks than rent skilled musicians. I have been enjoying in public for sixty years, so it will likely be a wrench packing it in, however there is a restrict to what number of evenings you’ll be able to carry out for 3 hours and get dwelling at 2.00am, all for much less cash than I obtain for a one hour lecture!
The pictures under are of three of my bands: Crude Oil (1968) Critical Threat (1986) and Synergy, 2025.
It has been enjoyable: because of all who’ve supported me through the years…
