It has been some time since Linda, Sue, Peter and I had a day’s birding collectively, so we met at 9.15 for a visit right down to the Brecks. First cease was Lynford Arboretum, the place nearly all our targets surrendered with out a struggle: as much as 9 Hawfinches (dotted across the treetops!) Inexperienced Woodpecker, Siskin, Treecreeper and Marsh Tit being the highlights. After espresso we moved south west to Cranwich the place, after a little bit of a stroll, all of us loved good – if distant – views of each Nice Gray Shrike and Woodlark.
Lunch at Brown’s was extraordinarily nice – and good worth – earlier than transferring on to a often dependable Goshawk web site. The climate was towards us immediately, so we headed house, pausing just for scorching drinks and procuring in Swaffham.
