Linda and I met our oldest buddies Paul & Jason on the East Gate automotive park, for a nostalgic stroll in and across the Forest. It was an exquisite day: heat sunshine and spectacular autumnal colors with Pink Kites, Sparrowhawks and Buzzards hovering overhead.
After a morning spent ‘doing the Observe 10 circuit’, we loved lunch at our common cafe at Orford Quay, earlier than checking into the resort close to Ipswich. After an hour’s ‘doze’ we drove again to Woodbridge for fish and chips (eaten within the automotive!) earlier than returning to the Forest.
The sky was completely clear, permitting fantastic views of the Milky Manner, M31, Jupiter and the Pleiades. Tawny Owls hooted close to Capel Inexperienced and two brilliant meteors have been a bonus: a number of satellites, in addition to a few anomalous stationary ‘winking’ lights…
Again to the resort for a nightcap and sleep (sadly interrupted a number of occasions within the early morning by inconsiderate younger revellers) earlier than breakfast and farewells…
