My flip to drive, so I used to be capable of set the agenda for the ‘Summer time Wine Crew’! First cease was Stiffkey, the place a stroll out to the Whirligig and again produced Redwings, Little Egrets and plenty of Brent Geese, however little else.
A go to to the Coastguards at Cley gave us three Spoonbills heading west and a Purple-throated Diver shut in, adopted by espresso on the Reserve Centre. As we have been consuming it, the pager bleeped to tell us that the Purple-breasted Goose was seen on the finish of Backyard Drove, so we headed west once more. After a brief stroll we joined a small gallery that had pinned the goose down, albeit very distantly. Luckily a few Purple Kites disturbed the flock of Brents it was with: it flew close to sufficient for just a few pictures.
A stroll from the Village Automobile Park to the lake at Holkham gave us shut views of a whole lot of Fallow Deer and a dozen or so Purple Kites, earlier than we visited Pure Environment for tea and muffins (however no Waxwings!)
