Brian and I made an early begin at Cley (no Norman at present) and have been in Bishop’s Cover in time to catch the ever-present Lengthy-billed Dowitcher, on the deck and in flight.
A transfer to Holkham and a trudge out to the roped off space finally gave us nice views of a flock of a dozen or so Shorelarks, in addition to a couple of Snow Buntings. A have a look at the ocean added a number of Widespread Scoter and a few Purple-breasted Mergansers, adopted by espresso and sandwiches on the glorious cafe.
Again to Cley for a quick seawatch: Purple-throated Diver and feminine Scoter shut in have been good (due to Brian Tubby for the images!) whereas 9 Eider midway to Holland have been much less photogenic!
