It was a brilliant, blustery morning, so I left dwelling at 05.00 to try to meet up with the pair of Black-winged Stilts which have been current at Titchwell for a few days. With completely no visitors, I used to be in Parrinder Conceal by 06.00, chatting with a pleasing Worcester birder who I might met at Bempton final month! We quickly positioned the Stilts, proper over within the south east nook of the scrape: fortunately there was just about no warmth haze, so I managed a couple of pictures. (A few Spoonbills have been sieving away in entrance of the conceal.)
Strolling again to the carpark I observed a younger couple with whom I might been chatting: they have been analyzing a pale raptor in direction of Thornham. Pictures revealed the chicken to be a really uncommon male Marsh Harrier, much like the latest ‘Montagu’s’ at Cley.
I made a decision to spend two minutes within the carpark on the lookout for the elusive Noticed Flycatchers: amazingly, I discovered one immediately, and was capable of name over the younger couple for a glance!
