Linda and I fancied a pre-lunch stroll, so drove the quick distance to Ranworth, parking within the final out there house reverse ‘the Maltsters’. (We had been pleasantly stunned to search out that not one of the passengers of those automobiles had preceded us to the boardwalk!)
The stroll out to the floating Guests’ Centre was surprisingly bird-free, though we did catch a fly-by glimpse of a Kingfisher from the conceal: a number of Widespread Darters and a feminine Brimstone had been noteworthy. Only a few wildfowl on the Broad, with a Sparrowhawk, Buzzards and Marsh Harriers over the woodland. One raptor seen by way of the foliage appeared to be a Peregrine, nevertheless it was ‘seen off’ by a Buzzard.
The stroll again was extra productive, with a lot of Siskins, a few Nuthatches, a Nice Spot and a feminine Reed Bunting, in addition to ‘heard solely’ Crane and Water Rail.
