Sadly Norman was feeling below the climate, so simply Brian and I made the 90 minute drive all the way down to Boyton, parking within the RSPB ‘automobile park’, earlier than slogging two miles alongside the ocean wall. A small gallery of early starters marked the spot: some nice craic with a bunch from Hertford whereas we waited for the chicken to get up. As soon as it did we loved fabulous views at round twenty yards vary as this nice rarity (a juvenile) fed alongside a slender dyke.
We stopped off at Minsmere on the way in which dwelling, having fun with lunch and a pair extra miles slog: ‘highlights’ had been a few distant Spotshanks and a Grayling within the dunes…
