Since Linda wanted the automobile within the afternoon, I assumed I would pop over to Ranworth to search for the recently-present Ospreys. After I arrived I discovered Elizabeth Dack and her pal Denise already on the staging and we quickly positioned each Ospreys in and round their new nest. (Amusingly, they’ve constructed this a ways from the platform constructed by the NWT!) We watched the birds mating and feeding and had been shocked to see a Crimson Kite swooping down on them: you’d’ve thought they’d have seen it off! Disgrace the nest is a measured one kilometre from the centre!
First Frequent Terns of the yr had been already prospecting the platforms, whereas a number of pairs of Nice Crested Grebes had been ‘weed dancing’.
