Taejongdae Park, Busan, April 28

Dr. Bernhard Seliger (Hanns-Seidel-Basis Korea, Birds Korea)

Taejongdae Park is a landmark in Western Busan, with a protracted, royal historical past, and fairly widespread with guests and the standard noise associated to them. Additionally it is a key birding web site in Busan.

Not too many species, and surprisingly (for me) utterly empty sea, beside a flock of Black-tailed Gulls and a single Grey Heron on the rocks West of the park. Not a single duck or cormorant. Perhaps, as a result of there have been many fishermen? Or is it ordinary at the moment of the 12 months, are all of them on breeding websites within the North?

Contained in the park, tons and many Giant-billed crows, and an assortment of small passerines like Warbling White-eyes, Nice tits, Lengthy-tailed Tits, a single Yellow-bellied tit, Blue-and-white flycatcher, Yellow-throated Bunting, a couple of thrushes, two Chinese language (Yellow-billed) Grosbeaks and on the rocks in every single place Blue Rock Thrushes. Within the rocks a Peregrine falcon, clearly breeding close by.

Nonetheless, it was a pleasing morning stroll.
