Regardless of a less-than-promising climate forecast, the ‘Summer season Wine Crew’ met early and had been at Cley by 08.00. The seawatch simply supplied views of seals and Kittiwakes, however Bishop’s was higher: shut views of a Water Pipit, associating with a ringed Gray Wagtail. Numerous Marsh Harrier motion too!
After espresso we headed eastwards to Kelling, the place a slog out to the shingle was rewarded by first rate views of 4 Velvet Scoters – a curiously belated 12 months tick!
A short cease at Letheringsett Mill (Redwings!) was adopted by a stroll alongside the western aspect of Bayfield Lake, the place we loved views of Siskin, Kingfisher and a wonderful drake Goosander.
