The climate forecast was not significantly promising, so we began the day at Flamborough: a short seawatch by the ‘foghorn’ produced a single Manx Shearwater heading north. A patch of blue sky despatched us again to Bempton (through a jacket buy for Linda on the RNLI store at South Touchdown!) This was an awesome transfer: whereas consuming a cup of espresso we loved super-close views of a searching Barn Owl – lastly!
Strolling alongside the cliffs in each instructions produced glorious photographs of the standard Auks, as effectively a bridled type of Guillemot. Better of all: a Shag on the base of the cliffs, viewable solely by hanging over the railings!
