In 2025, Birds Korea efficiently utilized for a small grant from the EAAFP, to assist assist our counts of the globally Endangered Scaly-sided Merganser 호사비오리 alongside the Imjin River in Yeoncheon.
The small grant was used (1) to fund a high-frequency of counts of Scaly-sided Merganser, particularly alongside 21km of the Imjin River in Yeoncheon County between October 2025 and April 2026; (2) to supply designs for signboards that would assist to elucidate about this exceptional species and the river they depend upon; and (3) to assist the writing of a report that would current the rely information.
